You can't please everyone... (unless you're a jar of Nutella)

Kinderlada... Eurocream and Cipiripi... Finetti and Vedoki... Linolada, and even Milky Way... In smaller or larger packages, with a spoon or without, in a cup or a glass, a bowl or a jar – each of these "creams" has been, at some point in most of our lives, our favorite part of breakfast or beloved snack.

However, when in the 1990s our stores (or perhaps more often at market stalls and flea markets) started selling Nutella, it became clear that this mixture of hazelnuts and cocoa would quickly stand out from the rest of the creams with its unique taste and perhaps remain unrivaled to this day.

True, Nutella has always been distinguished by its irresistible original flavor, but also by a rather "resilient" price, which, let's be honest, made it inaccessible to the average Serbian wallet for a long time. Nevertheless, thirty years later, there are few who have never tried Nutella and whose happiness hormone didn't kick in afterwards.

World Nutella Day

The situation in the world of spreads is such that if there were a competition for the globally most beloved spread, Nutella would have a symbolically small quota for victory.

Due to the general adoration of this sweet spread, which goes perfectly with a fresh slice of bread, waffles, pancakes (but also a plain spoon), an American woman decided to declare February 5th as Nutella Day in 2007 and promote interaction among people who were also big fans of this treat through online activities.

This event probably wouldn't have been worth mentioning if a few years later, the Italian company Ferrero, the producer of the perfect Nutella, hadn't taken this "holiday" under its patronage. And so, this day is now celebrated for the 15th time.

It goes without saying that the celebration of this day should revolve around your favorite spread. Whether you choose to open a jar and scoop Nutella with a tablespoon, invite friends over and make your favorite pancakes for everyone with a mandatory photo and the hashtag #worldnutelladay, or come up with another way – it's up to you...
