For adrenaline lovers and true adventurers - Drina Regatta
Drina Regatta is the oldest and largest event on the Drina River, which has been held in Bajina Bašta for a quarter of a century. The first Drina Regatta was held 25 years ago, in 1994, and since then, this event has been traditionally held every third week of July. It is held in memory of ancient Drina raftsmen and represents a blend of tradition with contemporary tourism trends.
This unique water carnival, with a large number of accompanying activities, is one of the largest tourist events in Serbia and the biggest water event in this part of Europe. In addition to a long rafting descent on the Drina River, the Drina Regatta includes numerous other diverse activities that attract over 100,000 visitors to Bajina Bašta every year.
Most Fest is a music festival within the Drina Regatta, and over the years, it has become one of the most important segments of the event, as it hosts big stars from the region. During the event, a fair of honey, brandy, souvenirs, and homemade crafts takes place in the center of Bajina Bašta. Another attractive feature that attracts the attention of a large number of visitors every year is the competition in jumping from the bridge into the Drina River, where the best and bravest jumpers from the entire Balkans compete in front of thousands of spectators.
Belocrkvanska Lakes - a location for nature lovers
Bela Crkva is a place located in South Banat, about a hundred kilometers from Belgrade. Next to the city, there are the Belocrkvanska Lakes, which are the most important tourist attraction of this town. The complex consists of five larger lakes: Glavno jezero, Vračevgajsko, Šaransko, Šljunkara, and Novo jezero, while there are also three smaller lakes: Jugopetrolsko jezero, Malo jezero, and Barutana.
The lakes were formed by gravel excavation, so the water is transparently green, and the beaches are beautiful and sandy. On Glavno jezero, part of the beach is paved with concrete, while the other lakes have completely natural beaches. For guests of Belocrkvanska Lakes who seek more than just swimming, excursions are organized in the surrounding area of Bela Crkva, as well as programs for hunting game in Deliblatska Peščara and fishing from the shores and boats on the lakes, the Danube-Tisa-Danube canal, and the Danube River.
The former mining settlement of Sasca Montana is nestled in a wooded gorge, with two clear mountain streams flowing through it - Nera and Šušara. This site attracts a large number of nature lovers who find peace and relaxation by waterfalls and the scents of conifers and mountain flora.
Rzav and the most beautiful beach, Bosa Noga
The river Veliki Rzav is officially the cleanest river in Serbia. This river passes through uninhabited areas, with Arilje being the first larger town it flows through. Since it flows through a clean limestone canyon, the water is completely clear and drinkable. The Rzav River is very fast, relatively shallow, but very safe and of divine beauty. Rzav is full of well-kept beaches where you can relax and enjoy hot summer days.
The most attractive and currently the most organized beach on the Rzav River is Bosa Noga. It offers various amenities from May to October. In addition to cafes and restaurants, this beach also features a beach volleyball court and a large grassy area where concerts of famous rock bands and techno parties are held.
Uvac - the emerald river and the largest meanders in Europe
The Uvac Special Nature Reserve is a natural asset of exceptional importance located in southwestern Serbia. The central morphological unit of the reserve consists of the Uvac River canyon valley and the valleys of its tributaries. The waters of the Uvac River have deeply carved their bed into limestone rocks and formed narrow, canyon-like valleys with high, steep limestone cliffs.
The value of the canyon parts of the valley lies in the so-called entrenched meanders. The Uvac Meanders are already a recognizable image of southwestern Serbia, as well as the whole of Serbia. This site of exceptional beauty attracts numerous tourists and is considered one of the most beautiful natural features of Serbia.
The caves in the vicinity of Uvac are numerous, ranging in size from small caverns to one of the largest cave systems known in Serbia, the < strong>Ušak Cave System, with a length of more than 6,000 meters of explored channels.
