Main Railway Station in Belgrade has ceased operations after 154 years. Starting from July 1, 2018, international and intercity trains arrive and depart from the new, modern station called Belgrade Center, also known as "Prokop".
The construction of the railway station "Prokop" lasted for more than 40 years with intermittent interruptions. The long-lasting construction site has made this part of the city a traditional "hole" that has been avoided for years. Therefore, many Belgraders (especially younger ones), as well as tourists and transient passengers, do not know with 100% accuracy the exact location of the newly established main railway station in Belgrade, how to reach it, or how to get from it to their final destination in Belgrade.
It goes without saying that Belgrade taxi associations are the safest option when you are in a hurry to catch a train or have bulky luggage with you, but if you want to save money and get to your destination on your own, we present the simplest way to get from the "Prokop" railway station by GSP lines. and connect BG:voz to almost all parts of the city.
The following lines DIRECTLY go to Belgrade Center station:
- Line 34 operates on the route Topčidersko brdo (Senjak) - Belgrade Center Railway Station - Pere Velimirovića (Kanarevo brdo).
- Line 36 is a circular line and operates on the route Belgrade Center Railway Station - Trg Slavija - GŽS - Belgrade Center Railway Station.
- Line 38A operates on the route Pogon "Kosmaj" - Belgrade Center Railway Station - ŽS Topčider.
- Trolleybus lines 40 and 41 operate from Banjica to Zvezdara or Studentski Trg, with a stop in the immediate vicinity of the new railway station .
- Line 44 operates on the route Topčidersko brdo (Senjak) - Viline vode - Dunav stanica, with a stop also in the immediate vicinity of the station.
These lines intersect or meet with several other GSP lines at their stops, making it possible to reach the Prokop Railway Station from more distant, peripheral parts of the city with a little effort or ONE TRANSFER.
Line 34 intersects with bus lines 42, 47, 48, 49, 50, 59, 78, 94, and minibus line E5.
Line 36 partially intersects with tram lines 3, 9, 10, 12, 13, and 14, as well as bus lines 23, 30, 31, 33, 37, 38L, 39, 46, 51, 55, 58, 83, 91, 92, 401, 409, 511, 551, 553, 601, seasonal lines ADA 1, ADA 3, ADA 4, and minibus lines A1, E1, E2, and E9.
Line 38A shares some stops with bus lines 17, 18, 20, 70, and trolleybus line 29.
